THE WEATHER
There was a continuation of the wet weather yesterday. Rain fell for the greater part of the day, accompanied by a fresh south-west wind. The temperature at S a.m. was 46 degrees, and the maximum for the day was 51 degrees. The total rainfall from 2 p.m. on Saturday to 4 p.m. yesterday was 1.91 inches. REPORTS FROM THE NORTH. (Special to Daily Times) AUCKLAND, March, 9. Except for showers experienced early this morning, the weather was fine to-day, but the conditions wejje unsettled. A fresh breeze blowing from the soiith-iyest made the temperature remarkably cbol. The barometer continued low, being steady at 29.55 inches all day. WELLINGTON. March 9: The weather was cold and dull to-day. Steadv rain fell in the afternoon, and. the conditions were very thick and misty. Moderate north-west wind prevailed but fell away to almost a calm during, the afternoon. The maximum temperature, was 58.0 degrees. „ „ , „ CHRISTCHURCH, March 9. A south-west gale blew in Christchurch to-day. Heavy rain fell continuously. The barometer was fairly steady and registered 29.69 inches at 5 p.m.
