THE SINGAPORE BASE
MAIN WORK COMPLETED SINGAPORE, March 7. (Received March 8, at 9 p.m.) An official message states that the contractors have completed the main works on the base, which the Admiralty engineers have taken over to carry ont subsidiary works. The base is now authoritatively regarded as an effective unit in Imperial defence of the Pacific.
