OFFICIAL SOVIET FILM

THE ARMY MANCEUVRES SCREENING IN LONDON LONDON, March 6. (Received March C, at 9 p.m.) An official Soviet film has been released in London showing at length Russian manoeuvres, with tanks, gas, aeroplanes, and mechanised forces. M. Maisky, the Ambassador, gave a reception to the guests, who included peers, members of the House of Commons, diplomats, and Government officials. "We do not intend to attack anybody," said M. Maisky, " but if attacked we arc ready." The film, with startling realism, showed an invading army landing (1000 troops from parachutes and in aeioplanes behind the defending lines. Large aeroplanes conveyed tanks, armed motor cars, and machine guns fastened under the fuselage. Three days' fighting was shown in detail, with a running commentary.
