STIRLING FLOWER SHOW

A SUCCESSFUL EXHIBITION The annual show held- under the auspices of the Stirling Horticultural Society was held in the Church Hall on Tuesday last and was a very successful event. Entries totalled 465, the cut flowers in particular being a strong section. .Features of the show were the sweet peas and the decorative classes, in which some excellent exhibits were seen. A new section introduced this year was photography, and ; ; large number of entries were received for this. The staging arrangements were excellent and reflected credit on those responsible. The judges were Mrs James Craig (baking). Mrs G. Guest (industrial), Mr R. R. Grigor (flowers, vegetables, and fruit), and Mr Harwell (photography). Two competitions were held in connection with the show. Miss Anderson guessed the correct weight of a cake (151 b), and Mrs S.WilJoeks won (he Sheep-guessing Competition.
