ANDERSON'S BAY SCHOOL

ANNUAL FLOWER SHOW The annual Mower show conducted by the Anderson's Bay School Committee, in aid of the school funds, was held yesterday afternoon and evening in Cameron Hall. The entries were well up to those of previous years, especially in the children's section, where the competition was particularly keen. Special mention was made of the work of Olwcn Armour, who easily won the first award for knitting, and William Partell and Alan Walker, who exhibited a motor boat and an aeroplane respectively. The fancywork exhibited by the girls of Standards 111, IV, V, and VI was also outstanding. The judges were as follows^ —Cut flowers and vegetables, Mr J. Nelson; cooking and sweets, Mrs M'Crorie; fancywork, Misses Burn and Wither; children's section—Mesdames Lee Smith, Guthrie, and Nich'ol. '

During the evening, the Anderson's Bay Orchestra presented enjoyable musical items, and at the conclusion an auction sale was held. The following is the prize list: — VEGETABLES.
