AMBASSADORS CONFER
GATHERING IN TOKIO IMPORTANT DISCUSSIONS TOKIO, February 25. Importance is attached to the conferences which are being held at the Foreign Office every day and attended by the Ambassadors from Britain, Germany and China, and other Japanese diplomats. According to the Asahi Shimbun, the subjects include an attempt to protect the British and Japanese interests In China and greater freedom of entry for Japanese goods into Britain, her dominions and colonies.
It is widely believed that the Govern ment hopes to use Britain's concern for her Chinese interests as a lever to secure more trade in the British Empire.
