Earu, which arrived yesterday from Wellington, sailed last night for Oamaru, Timaru, and Lyttelton to complete loading for Wellington, Nelson, and New Plymouth. HERTFORD FOR PORT CHALMERS. The Federal Line steamer Hertford arrived yesterday from Glasgow and Liverpool, via Panama canal, Auckland, Wellington, and Lyttelton. She was berthed at the George street wharf, Port Chalmers, where the local portion of her Home cargo is being discharged. The Hertford Is to sail on Saturday for New Plymouth to complete discharge and commence Homeward loading. MARAMA FOR MELBOURNE. The intercolonial steamer Marama sailed yesterday afternoon for Lyttelton, Wellington, Bluff, Milford Sound, and Melbourne. She is scheduled to leave the Victorian port on March 11 for Milford Sound, Bluff, Dunedin, Lyttelton, and Wellington, being due at tills port on March 17. POET BOWEN TO LOAD. The Port Line steamer- Port Bowen arrived yesterday morning from Lyttelton, and was berthed at Port Chalmers to load wool and other products. She is to sail to-morrow for London, via Cape Horn. The Port Bowen was detained at Lyttelton for two days, as a berth was not available for her at. Port Chalmers until yesterday. CHIFUKU MARU DUE TO-DAT. • f. The Japanese steamer Chlfuku Maru is due at Dunedln to-day from Japan, via northern ports, to discharge general cargo and load for the return voyage. She will complete loading at Bluff and Wellington. MATABOA FOR THE NORTH. The Shaw; Savill liner Mataroa, after loading frozen meat and other products,. left Port Chalmers yesterday morning for Lyttelton and Wellington to complete loading. She Is now scheduled to sail finally from. Wellington on March 3 for Southampton and London, via Panama. MELBOURNE MARU FROM JAPAN. Messrs Nelll and Co. advise that the Melbourne Maru, from Japan, is to leave Hobart to-morrow for Dunedin. .She is due here on Tuesday, and will sail the same day for Lyttelton, Wellington, and Auckland to complete discharging and loading for the return voyage. MAKURA FROM SAN FRANCISCO.. The Union Company's B.M.S. Makura, en route from San Francisco, via Papeete, left Rarotonga on Monday for Wellington. She is due at the northern port on Monday morning and will leave again ■ the following day for Sydney. WIRELESS FROM REMUERA. The New Zealand Shipping Company has received a wireless message from the liner Remuera, reporting that she has, been experiencing moderate weather and that all on board are well. The Remuera left Lyttelton. on February 15 for London, via the Panama canal. TAINUI LEAVES LONDON. The Talnul left Southampton last Friday for Wellington and Auckland. She Is due at Wellington on March 30.. DURHAM FROM LONDON. The Durham, which left London on February 21 for Auckland, Port Chalmers, Lyttelton, . New Plymouth, and Nelson, Is now ■ due at Auckland on March 26, three days earlier than her scheduled time of arrival. THE PORT CHALMERS. The Port Line motor ship Port Chalmers left Brisbane last Saturday for Auckland, where she Is due to-day to commence Homeward loading. THE MAUI POMARE. The Government motor ship Maul Pomare left Wellington on Tuesday for Apia and Niue to load fruit for Lyttelton and Wellington. TONGARIRO LEAVES BRISTOL , CHANNEL. The Federal Company has received cabled advice that the Tongariro cloared the Bristol Channel on February 20 with cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedln. The Marine Department advises that the beacon on the northern end of the reef extending from the northern end of Motulhl Island (Auckland Harbour) has been destroyed.
