MILBURN PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH

HORTICULTURAL SHOW A highly successful horticultural show, combined with an exhibition of antiques, organised by ladies connected with the Milburn Presbyterian Church, was held in Milburn Hall on Friday afternoon and evening. The function was in aid of the church funds, and with the liberal patronage accorded by exhibitors and the general public the net proceeds totalled about £l6. Four Milton ladies officiated as judges—Mrs James Gray and Mrs T. G. Cannon judged the vegetables, preserves and baking classes, whilst Mrs P. R. Stewart and Miss J. Hislop judged the cut flowers and needlework. An interesting exhibition of antiques was staged, including pictures, carvings, coins, watches, christening robe (150 years old), and silverware and brassware.
