One of the biggest eagles ever captured alive has successfully undergone an operation for a fractured Ving at the Geneva Zoo. The eagle, the spread of whosa wings measured Bft lin, was found in th« mountains by a shepherd. The bird wai crippled by its broken wing, but it nevertheless fought violently against capture until it was exhausted. The shepherd then brought it down to Geneva, whom its injury has now been treated.
