The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Remuera is expected to arrive at Wellington at daybreak on Sunday next from London. MARAMA DUB THIS MORNING. The Marama Is due at Dunedin this morning from Melbourne, via Milford Sound and Bluff. She will berth at the cross wharf to land passengers and discharge general cargo. The Marama Is to sail at 9 a.m. to-morrow for Lyttelton, Wellington, Bluff, Milford Sound, and Melbourne. CORNWALLIS FROM MONTREAL. Messrs H. L. Tapley and Co. advise that the Cornwallis, with cargo from Montreal, left Sydney at noon on Saturday for Dunedin. She is due on Thursday, and is expected to sail the same day for Lyttelton, Wellington, Auckland, Napier, and Wanganui to complete discharge and loading. TAIROA FROM LIVERPOOL. The Shaw, Savill steamer Tairoa is due at Dunedin to-morrow morning from Liverpool, via northern ports, to discharge the remainder of her Home cargo. She will go to Port Chalmers on Thursday to load frozen meat and dairy produce, and la scheduled to sail on Saturday for Wellington, Waikokopu, Napier, Wanganui, and Auckland to complete loading for London.

THE CANADIAN CONSTRUCTOR. The Canadian Constructor is to leave Melbourne on January 22 for Dunedin, where she is due on January 27 to discharge cargo from Montreal and load products. The vessel will also discharge and load at Lyttelton and Wellington, and will sail from the latter port on January 30 for New York, Boston, and Halifax. lONIC AT AUCKLAND. The Shaw, Savlll, and Albion liner lonic, which left Southampton on November 29, arrived at Auckland early on Sunday morning. She will complete discharge at Port Chalmers. PORT DENISON TO LOAD. After completing discharge at Australian ports, the Port Denison was scheduled to sail from Port Kembla last Friday in ballast to commence her New Zealand loading for London at Opua. She is due at Opua to-morrow. PORT WYNDHAM’S SAILING. The Port Wyndham, which was due at Wellington yesterday from Auckland to complete loading for London, is to leave Wellington finally on January 20, via Cape Horn and Dakar. WAIWERA’S SCHEDULE. The Waiwera is now due at New Plymouth on January 21 from Australia to commence Homeward loading. She will afterwards complete at Auckland, Gisborne, Wellington, and Lyttelton. She will sail finally from Lyttelton on February 11 for London, via Cape Horn and Las Palmas. TRANSPACIFIC CARGO SERVICE. Official statistics relating to the seaborne trade of the Dutch ports during the first half of last year reveal the fact that, in spite of heavy losses suffered in June, owing to the sudden increase in Belgian competition following the devaluation of the belga, there has been an all-round advance compared witii tiie corresponding period of 1934. The total to June 30 was 19,343,185 tons, an increase of 443,275 tons. This was made up of 4,951,305 tons of Imports (522,091 tons decline). 2,295,027 tons of exports (5591 tons decline), 0,334.024 tons of transit cargo inwards (08.105 tons increase), and 5,702,109 tons outwards (902,152 tons increase). For the month of June only the inward transit trade fell by 52 223 tons, compared with the previous month, and was 411,433 tons less than in June last

year, while the outward transit trade declined by 320,063 and 185,195 tons respectively. The direct imports and exports remained about the same in June as in May, although they showed a big drop compared with 12 months previously. Rotterdam’s share of the total trade in the first half of last year was 7,718,000 tons inwards, against 7,874,000 tons a year ago, and 5,903,000 tons outwards, against 5,270,000 tons; that of Amsterdam was 1,624,000 tons inwards, against 1,848,000 tons, and 838,000 tons outwards against 789,000 tons.
