By SENTINMAt Gore Acceptances for the Gore Trotting Club's meeting close to-day at 5 p.m. Withdrawn Pegaway lias been withdrawn from the Perth Championships. A Solid Task Full Hand and Vesuvius worked over two miles on Saturday in 4min 31 2-sse, and both horses displayed plenty of dash. Graham Direct Graham Direct was responsible for a solid task over a mile and a-half on Satday. He had the company of Fifa and left his task behind in 3miu 20sec. Indianapolis Indianapolis continues to i get through good solid work without being extended. The champion could be tuned up to race with a few sharp workouts.

Slow Class Winners The Rey dc Oro gelding Voluntary, Who won at the Hororata meeting, went 2min 17sec from a 2.27 mark, and Silk Bonny won in 3min 29sec from a 3.43 mark.

Forbury Park Summer Meeting The class for the big race on each day of the summer meeting of the • Forbury Park Trotting Club, the Dunedin Cup and the Metropolitan Handicap, has been fixed at 4.29, A Fail

Auto Machine fell near the finish of a trial at Epsom last week. His driver, R. Brown, was thrown out of the sulky, and fell heavily on his shoulder, but the horse did not appear any the. worse for the spill. A partially sprung shoe was the cause of the horse falling. Careless Driving

After driving Electric Boy, ,a winner at a recent meeting at Harold Park. S. Barnes was suspended fof three months for careless driving. Barnes was held guilty of interference after the field had travelled the first half of a two-mile race. Attack on the Mile The Forbury Park Club has decided to offer a cash prize of £IOO to the owner of the horse that breaks the existing track record (2min 4 2-fisec) at the summer meeting. If more than one horse breaks tlie record the prize will go to tile horse that records the fastest time. Owners must notify the secretary of their intention to attack the record when nominations for the races are being taken. Mr Bjtrton has promised to send Indianapolis against the watch.

Lady Siippef A recent addition to J. J. Kennerley's stable is the four-year-old mare Lady Slipper, who was bred by her owner (Mr J. It. FrizzclJ). Lady Stypper is by the American sire Adiod Guy, the sire of Grand arojrul, from Lady Cio (2min 19 3-sscc), by Logan Pointer from 0.1. C., by O.Y.M. from D.LC. (2min 25 2-osee), the dam of Admiral Wood (4miu 23 2-Ssec. Lady Slipper is bred well enough to reach Rood class. She competed in the Improvers' Handicap at New Brighton recently.

A Fast Track The track at Addington is in very fast order, and with a number of meetings to be decided within the next few Weeks, a fair amount of work is being done. Though several trainers had engagements to fulfil at Hororata, Saturday morning wna a busy period (says the Press), and several useful performances were registered. Horses that were worked included the following:—Agile, a milo and a-half in 3min 24sec; Chancellor, a mile easily, in 2min 27sec; Graham Direct, a mile and a-half in 3min 25see; Indianapolis, a mile and a-half in 3min 30sec; Full Hand and Vesuvius, two miles in 4inin 31 2»saec; Flotsam and Pot Luck, a mile and a-half in 3mhi 28 2-ssec; Bessie Parrish, a mile and a-half in 3inin 31 3-sseo; Cloudy Range and Reylena, a mile and a-half in 3min 26 2-ssee; Agility, a mile and a-half in 3min 30sec; Grand Mogul, two miles in 4mhl 53 2-ssec; and Little Reta and Mystery Yet, two miles in 4inin 44sec. A Hospitable Trainer

The famous American trainer and reinsman, Walter Cox, is very fond of children, and each year he entertains all the children within miles of his magnificent home at Goshen, An American journal affirms that Mr Cox stands 1000 per cent, with the juvenile population of Goshen, and probably more than that with the Goshen police force, following a Halloween party which he gave to the youngsters of the village that drew the entire schoolage, attendance jto the r Cox home from early evening until midnight. The streets of Goshen were practically deserted. More than 300 children visited the Cox mansion, and at one time, by actual count, 277 were making merry in the spacious residence. Refreshments included untold gallons of ice cream. Mr Cox having brought most of the available supply in the village, huge and seemingly number* less baskets of fruit, more than 751 b ot cookies and cakes, large quantities of candy, and scores of bottles of soda water.
