ROYAL CHRISTENING

THE BABY PRINCE FOUR NAMES (From Our Own Correspondent) (By Air Mail) LONDON, November 10. It is officially stated that the christening of the infani son of the Duke and Duchess of Kent will take place in the private chapel of Buckingham Palace, and it is understood that the child will be given four names—Edward, George, Nieliolns, Patrick. The Archbishop of Canterbury will perform the ceremony, which will be attended by members of tlie Royal Family and those intimately connected with the Duke and Duchess of Kent. The only guests will be the Prime Minister and the Home Secretary. The baby will be christened with water from the River Jordan, and the gold font which was made for the christening of the Princess Royal, eldest daughter of Queen Victoria, will be brought from Windsor for the occasion. Godparents are expected to include the King, the Queen, the Prince of Wales and Prince Nicholas. A second godmother has yet to be chosen. QUEEN'S PRESENT.

"Marianne Mayfayre" (Daily lelcgraph) writes: — The first fashions to be eet by the son of the Duke and Duchess of Kent will be the christening clothes. He is not to have a family robe or shawl, like so many babies of to-day. His outfit is modern, and is the Queen's gift to him. She chose the long white robe with especial care. It is exquisitely worked. All-white flowers will decorate the palace chapel and the font. The Duke and Duchess will drive to the palace a short time before the ceremony accompanied by the nurse carrying the Prince. The Duchess will carry the baby into the chapel. During the ceremony he will be held by both parents. The King and Queen will give a christening luncheon party at the palace. There may be sprays of shamrock, here and in the chapel, as a reference to the fact thta the baby has received the name of Ireland's patron saint. The car in which the Duke and Duchess of Kent and their son return to Belgrave square will probably be driven slowly to give the public an opportunity of seeing the baby.
