Ideal summer weather' prevailed yesterday, with a light north-east breeze and a maximum temperature of 74deg. The barometer had. a falling tendency, and registered 30.05 last evening. The weather was cloudy until about 9 a.m., but the remainder of the day was bright and warm; with a northerly breeze prevailing. ',- The maximum temperature was 71.5 deg. CHRISTCHURCH, December 10.
