ENGLISH QUADRUPLETS
SATISFACTORY PROGRESS FOUR NURSES IN ATTENDANCE LONDON, December 2. (Received Dec. 2, at 11.45 p.m.) The Miles quadruplets are costing £ls a day. Dr Harrison has installed them in his own house in “ a giant incubator” electrically heated to 70deg. Four oauze-masked nurses are constantly m attendance and the babies are fed every two hours on sterilised human milk motored twice a day from a hospital in London,. necessitating a journey of -00 miles. The supplies will be obtained bv air if the motors are delayed. Oxygen apparatus and brandy are in readiness for emergencies. Dr Harrison says the babies are progressing satisfactorily but it is going to be a critical week.
