DUNEDIN MILK SUPPLY
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —Your correspondent “Fair Play" makes a long disjointed parade of the injustice to fanners who are supplying milk to the local trade. First, he says he has no axe to grind, but immediately proceeds to grind an outsize bushman’s axe. He further states he is not an interested party, and proceeds to show that this statement is “eyewash.”, He goes ou quoting very doubtful figures and plenty of proof of hie ignorance qf the milk business in general. He is evidently attempting to discredit one of our largest milk vendors who has _at all times Iqd the ivay in hygienic milk service in this city. If “Fair Play” and his farmer friends would support an up-to-date service, instead of chopping over, when any 10-gallon vendor comes along and offers id more per gallon, or going back to the factory when cheese looks a little firmer, the milk supplier would be on a much sounder footing. If “ Fair Play ” does not show any more skill in assisting the farmer than he has done in his “ dissertation of costs,” and the attempt to disguise himself, then the farmer whom he has taken under • his wing will find himself “ holding the bag. —I am, etc.. Supplier.
