DUNEDIN GUN CLUB

Ideal weather conditions prevailed for the meeting of the Dunedin Gun Club, which was held on the chib’s grounds, Green Island, on Saturday afternoon. The first match was a six-bird “ eye-opener,” and it was won by S. F. Aburn and 1. Styche with six birds each. They were followed by G. E. Turner, J. K. Begg, W. Elliott, J. Stiven, and Dr Grecnslade with five birds each. The next match was a 15-bird handicap, in which S. F. Aburn put up a fine performance to win with 15 birds (all first barrel). He was followed by E. P. Grahaln, R. Bruce, and J. T. Callaghan with 14 birds each. In the third match (a nine-bird handicap) the following competitors broke eight birds each: —G. E. Turner, R. M'Donald, S, F. Aburn, J. K. Begg, R. Bruce, J. T,' Cajlaghan, and W. Elliott. They, decided to shoot olf for the prize, which was finally won by S. F. Aburn, with J. K. Begg second.
