NEW LINER LAUNCHED
FOR SOUTH AFRICAN SERVICE (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, November 28. (Received Nov. 29, at 5.5 p.m.) Princess Alice, Countess of Athlone, to-day performed the naming ceremony at the launch by Harlaud and Wolff at Belfast of the 25,000-tou motor passenger vessel Athlone Castle, designed for use in the South African service of the Union Castle Line. The vessel is 725 ft long, ■with 82ft beam.
