UNFROCKED RECTOR
WRONGFUL IMPRISONMENT COURT AWARDS DAMAGES LONDON, November 28. Since he was unfrocked in 1932 Harold Francis Davidson, the former rector of Stiffkey, has protested, in various ways, including an exhibition of starvation in a beach show at Blackpool. The show Began on July 25, Davidson appearing in one cubicle and his daughter in another, thousands paying for admission. He was arrested on August 3 on a charge of attempting selfmurder by fasting, and was found not guilty. He then claimed damages from the Blackpool Corporation for wrongful imprisonment, and to-day was awarded £382 10s.
Davidson gave evidence during, the claim that he at one time appeared in a barrel.
