DRUNKENNESS. Charged with drunkenness, a first offender was fined 20s, in default 24 hours’ imprisonment. CYCLIST FINED. For cycling at night without a light Edwin John Mills was fined 5s and costs (10s). UNLICENSED WIRELESS. John Thompson was fined 8g 4d, the amount of the fees evaded, and costs (10s) for being in possession of an unlicensed wireless set. UNLICENSED GOODS SERVICE. On a charge of carrying on an unlicensed ' goods service, William Lockhart Gray was convicted and 1 ordered to pay solicitor’s fees (£2 2e) and costa (10s). MOTOR BY-LAW BREACHES. For failing to give way at a street intersection to traffic approaching from his right, Martin Maloney was fined 10s and costs (10s). Arthur John Jamieson, who admitted having driven at 30 miles per hour along King Edward street, was charged with, dangerous driving, and with failing to stop, when signalled to do so by a constable. —After hearing evidence, the magistrate fined the defendant 10s and costs (10s) on the former charge, and dismissed the other.
