HAWKE CUP PRELIMINARY NELSON’S BIG SCORE (Per United Press Association) NELSON, November 29. In the Hawke Cup preliminary, Nelson v Marlborough, Nelson in the first innings made 464 (A. Newman 100, Kinzett 76, M’Girr 98, Freeman 75, and Eden 51 not out).- Gibson took five wickets for 66 runs.
