NO WORK ON NIAGARA
MEN WANT A HOLIDAY AFTERMATH OF ELECTION {Per United Press Association) AUCKLAND, November 28. There was no response to-day to the call for labour for the Niagara, which arrived from Vancouver last night. Officials of the union attributed the trouble to the fact that the men.wanted a holiday after " the good work at the polls" yesterday. The vessel is being worked by the crew, assisted by the permanent shore staff. • She is expected to sail at midnight.
