SECOND £ID FOR LIBERTY (Pek United Press Association) AUCKLAND, November 28. The prisoner who escaped from the Hautu prison camp, in the Tokaanu district, last week-end is reported to have been recaptured after an intensive search had been made for him. He is Herbert Horace Hanley, aged 40, a garage hand, who was serving a sentence of two years' imprisonment on charges of fraud and theft, and also for escaping from custody in 1930. The second escape was made last Saturday night. It was found that Handley had secured his liberty by cutting away a bolt from the woodwork in the doorway of the building in which he had been confined for the night.
