She will sail this afternoon for Bluff, and return to this port on Tuesday to load for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington and Auckland. Totara is due here this morning from Westport with a cargo of coal. She will sail tomorrow for Westport. The Union Company advises that the Marama left Melbourno at 10.30 a.m. on> Wednesday for Milford • Sound, Bluff, Dunedin, Lyttelton and Wellington with passengers, mails and cargo. The freight Includes transhipments ex the Maloja, Qneda, Dagfred and Kamo Maru. The Marama is due here on Tuesday morning and will sail on Wednesday morning for Lyttelton. WAIRUNA DUE ON SUNDAY. , The Union Company advises that the Wairuna is now due at Dunedin on Sunday from the Pacific coast, via northern ports. She will discharge Canadian and American cargo on Monday and sail on Tuesday for Melbourne, Sydney and Newcastle. HAURAKI FROM PACIFIC COAST. The Union Company's a. The Commonwealth and Dominion Line has placed an order with Swan, Hunter and Wigham Richardson, Limited, Newcastle-on-Tyne, for the construction of a large, fast, motor ship, which is expected, to be ready about December, 1936. The new motor ship I'.as been specially designed for service from Great Britain to New Zealand and Australia. She will be 495 ft 6in In length and 68ft in breadth. She will be propelled by twin screws, driven by two sets of Doxford opposed-piston Diesel oil engines, and will have a service speed of 16 knots. The Commonwealth and Dominion Line will then have 11 motor ships, and the new ship will be slightly larger than the Port Wyndham, 8580 tons, and the Port Townsville, 8661 tons, the two latest additions to the fleet.
