A "PEEPING TOM"
PREVIOUS OFFENDER CHARGED THREE MONTHS' IMPRISONMENT (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, November 25. An unsuccessful request for probation was made by Bernard Victor Cottier, aged 41, a labourer, who was described by the police as a " Peeping Tom " when he appeared in the Magistrate's Court to-day charged with being found on enclosed premises without lawful excuse. Cottier pleaded guilty, saying his trouble was due to a bad breakdown in health. Mr W. F. Stillwell, S.M., pointed out that Cottier's list for such offences dated back to 1829, and imposed a sentence of three months' imprisonment.
