(Per United Press Associationi WELLINGTON, November 25. A deputation consisting of a dozen delegates from the conference of the National Unemployed Workers' Moveinert waited on the Unemployment Board to-day to discuss the position of unemployed women, the treatment of Maoris as compared with pakehas, and the position of unemployed youths. Mr W. Bromley, deputy chairman of the board, said it was hoped to get the majority of the men back into employment. One of the main functions of the board was to promote the growth of primary and secondary industries. There was no possibility at the present time of increasing the sustenance rates. He believed there were plenty of opportunities for boys leaving school, and the difficulty that existed was in connection with boys who had left school four years ago. The Maori question was complicated and the real solution -as in getting the Maoris back to land work.
