TREATMENT OF RETURNED SOLDIERS
TO THE EDITOR.
Sjk,—l heartily agree with your correspondent "True Bill" when he writes: " I do mean to say that the soldiers of this Dominion have been well treated, etc., etc." I know a good many returned men who arc in receipt of a good pension. One man in particular receives what he considers a very generous pension for himself and family, and admits that he is truly thankful for it. Now, Sir. I know that many returned men will say "Why be truly thankful? Isn't he only receiving what he is entitled to, and only what was promised him on going overseas to fight for his country?" Yes, that may be bo; nevertheless that does not alter the fact that the soldiers of this Dominion have been, and are still being, well treated, and I have sufficient faith in the common sense of most returned men to feel assured that they do not need to be told what party to vote for on Wednesday—l am, etc., 25/ Bar.
