“Puzzled” (Wingatui) wishes to know: ■ (1) How to clean a white felt hat which has become soiled. (2) How to remove a water stain from a lemon sand-crepe frock. (1) The Home Science Extension Bureau says: “Heat equal quantities of salt and % flour in a basin in the oven, rub into the hat with a whisk brush, and shake out. Do about once a week, and the hat will remain fresh and clean. (2) The dress will have to be dipped into water so that the “ stain ” will come evenly all over.
