KUROW NOTES

Golf ■ The final round for the Cameron Cup took place recently, and the cup was presented to the winner (Miss Lawson) by the donor (Mrs J. F. Cameron), who congratulated her on being the. .first winner. The competition conducted by Mrs A. C. J. Robinson was won as follows: — Miss N. Lawlor 1, Mrs W. Collins 2. Mrs T. Corrigall and Sister Smith (equal) 3. Miss Hannah also presented trophies which were won during the season to Misses N. Lawlor and F. LawKon. Mrs Robinson received a gift from the committee for the- use of her looms for meetings. 'A mixed Canadian foursomes was played late in the afternoon. Kurow Miniature Rifle Club The annual dance and presentation of prizes was held on Thursday last, when there was an excellent attendance. Mrs A. C. J. Robinson (wife of the patron) presented the trophies as follows:—Aggregate championship, A. C. J. Robinson; aggregate runner-up. E. S. Wills; handicap aggregate, G. W. Cogger; handicap runner-up; E. N. A. Christiansen; most improved shot. A. Aitchison; novelty shoot, B. U. Stanger. Miss N. Nye's" orchestra supplied the music, and Mr J. Barnes carried out the duties of M.C. Dance There was a good attendance at the week-end dance held at Haka. Miss Nye's orchestra supplied the music, and -Mr Thompson carried out the duties of M.C. The proceeds were in aid of the Haka Lawn Tennis Club. Lawn Tennis , Match Plaving on the Livingstone courts, Livingstone defeated Tokorahi by 11 sets and 80 games to 5 sets and 52 games.
