THE CORPORATION BUS SERVICES
TO THE EDITOK. Sib, —I have read with interest the letter in this morning’s Daily Times with reference to running a corporation bus to Roslyn to pick up passengers wishing to travel by the Sunday excursion train to Timaru. I note from the reply that a bus may be provided later on in the tourist season when important excursions are organised. I do not think there will be any more important excursion than the DuuedinTimaru one, as this excursion is very seldom run and this is the first opportunity this year that people have had of meeting at Timaru their Christchurch friends. The excursion to Invercargill seems to be more favoured. Also, in the reply I read that past experience has not shown that there.is a sufficient number of passengers from Roslyn to warrant the provision of a bus, but I am at a loss to understand how the Tramway Department is able to ascertain how many people from Roslyn travel by this train. To my knowledge Roslyn people have never before been catered for with a bus on any of the Sunday excursions.—l am, etc.. November 7. Excursionist.
