“NO MORE WAR” PLAY
ARMISTICE NIGHT-' PRESENTATION
Those who are interested in furthering the aims and ideals of the No More War Movement will heartily endorse the decision of the Little Theatre Society to repeat the performance, on Armistice Night, of “The White Chateau,” the play that was accepted in Dunedin last Tuesday evening as “ a triumph of production*.” It is most appropriate that this play should bo presented in Dunedin on Armistice Night. The presentation of the Little Theatre Society has set a new and higher standard of amateur production for the reason that every detail has been very carefully attended to. What‘may be termed “the effects ” are especially well done. The reason for this play’s extraordinary success lies, to some extent, in the fact that the story involved is of a much higher standard than that usually presented for the consumption of theatregoers. It is something in advance of the society drama. The box plans are at Begg’s and are being filled rapidly.
