DOLLAR RATES The Associated Banks (other than the Bank of New South Wales) quoted the following dollar rates yesterday on a New Zealand currency basis. They are subject to alteration without notice. U.S.A. Canada.

SYDNEY WOOL SALES (United Press Association) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) SYDNEY, November 4. (Received Nov. 4, at 11.15 p.m.) At the wool sales 13,040 bales were offered and 12,069 sold, while 1863 were disposed of privately. There was good general competition from all sections and values were fully equal to those of last week. Greasy merino brought to 22Jd. The average price last week was £ls 19s 4d a bale, of 12.7 d per lb.

THE SHARE MARKET DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE Three parcels of Mortgage Corporations were disposed of at 5s 7d on the Dunedin Stock Exchange yesterday, the closing buying and selling quotations being os 6d and 5s 8d respectively. Mount Lyells were also dealt in at 19s 6d and 19s 7d, the market closing on a firmer note, with buyers offering 19s 7d and sellers asking 19s 9d. There was a slightly easier inquiry for Bank of Australasias, buyers offering fll 2s. Sellers did not come forward. _ Reserve Banks rallied a trifle, the ''closing buying offer being £6 2s, but sellers were not interested. Wilsons Cements met with a stronger demand at £2 2s fid, but sellers did not come forward. There was a slight improvement in the demand for New Zealand Breweries, buyers being prepared to give £2 12s. Sellers, however, would not accept less than £2 12s 3d. Timaru Breweries were inquired for at 8s fid, cum dividend, without sellers showing any interest. SALES ON 'CHANGE.
