STIRLING BEATS FORWARD (Peb United Press Association) TIMARU, November 1. In a professional welter-weight contest, Don Stirling, the Dominion welter-weight champion, beat Dick Forward on a technical knockout in the eighth of a 15roiind bout. In the eighth round he dropped Forward three times, but the latter fought back pluckily, until Stirling sent him down again with a heavy right. The police then signalled for the end of the bout.
