THE YACHT MOREWA

SIGHTED OFF THE COAST (Per United Press Association) AUCKLAND, November 2. Eleven days out on the voyage from Brisbane to Auckland, the auxiliary schooner yacht Morewa, was sighted off Cape Maria van Dieman at 12.45 p.m. The wind was then light from the west. The yacht was under sail and power. It is expected that she will reach Auckland to-morrow night. The Morewa has been purchased by Mr Ernest Davis, Mayor of Auckland. The yacht is under command of Captain M. Pierotti, marine superintendent of the Northern Steamship Company, who has with him Captain Ryder, also of Auckland and a crew of four.
