AIR FORCE EXPANSION
SOUTH AFRICA'S PLANS LONDON, October 30. The Daily Telegraph's Johannesburg correspondent says the Union Government is embarking on a five-year Air Force expansion plan, aiming to uiake South Africa equal to any second-rate Power. The programme visualises 250 new machines, 300 air mechanics, and 1000 pilots, including a permanent force and reserves.
