REGENT'S PARK MURDER
GRIERSON EXECUTED ANOTHER DEMONSTRATION LONDON, October 30. Grierson was executed while Mrs Van Der Elst demonstrated outside the prison. She challenged the police to arrest her, while hundreds surged round her now familiar car. The police forbade sand wiehmen carrying boards advocating abolition of capital punishment to walk near the prison. Grierson was sentenced to death on September 18 for the murder of Mrs Louise Bertha Jann, a housekeeper, in a flat in Regent's Park, who was found with her head battered on June 22.
