Indications are for: Winds—Westerly at first north of Kawhla and East Cape, otherwise south-easterly to southerly prevailing; moderate to strong generally and reaching gale force at places north of Farewell Spit and Akaroa, but. decreasing to-morrow. Chatham Islands.—South Sea. COASTWISE MOVEMENTS. Wingatul. which was delayed at Wellington this week owing to heavy rain, was to sail yesterday for Lyttelton and Dunedin. She is now due at this port on Sunday and will sail on Monday for Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington and Auckland. Totara is due at Dunedin to-day from Westport, via Bluff, to discharge coal and load general cargo. She Is to sail to-night for Wellington and Westport. Holmglen has been fixed to load at Dunedin on November 6 for Wellington, New Plymouth and Port Waikato. Holmdale Is due at Dunedin on November b from Wellington. She will sail the same day for Wellington, Picton and Wanganui, via P °Breeze will load at Dunedin on Monday for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Picton and Wanganui. CITY OF TOKIO FROM NEW YORK. The A. and A. Line's chartered steamer City of Tokio arrived at Dunedin yesterday afternoon from New York and Newport News, via Panama Canal, Auckland, Wellington and Lyttelton She was berthed at the Victoria wharf, where the local portion of her American cargo is being discharged. The City of Tokio is to sail to-morrow for Sydney to complete discharge. KARETU FOR AUSTRALIA. Having discharged the Dunedin portion of her general cargo and coal from Australia, the Karetu sailed yesterday for Bluff to complete discharge. She will then sail for Sydney and Newcastle to load for Bluff, Dunedin, Timaru and Lyttelton. PERSONAL. Mr R. V. E. Waldron joined the R.M.S. Mau-n-amii at Sydney as purser, relieving Mr W. D. MaeDougall. Mr M. S. Harris joined at Sydney as assistant purser.

RANGITANE AT LONDON. Advice received by the New Zealand Shipping Company states that the Rangitane arrived at London on Wednesday morning from Auckland, via Panama. She left Auckland on September 27. HUNTINGDON LEAVES LIVERPOOL. The Huntingdon is reported to have cleared Liverpool on October 28 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Port Chalmers and Bluff. She is due at Auckland about December 4, and at Port Chalmers about December 17. NORWEGIAN TANKER THORCHILD. • The Norwegian tanker Thorchild Is reported to have left Sart Pedro on October 26 for Wellington, where she Is due on November 20. MAUNGANUI'S TRANSHIPMENTS. The Maunganui, which.arrived at Wellington on Monday from Sydney, brought transhipments ex the Ormiston, Moldavia, Maimoa, Kowarra, "Hobson's Bay, Orsova, Nankin, and Karoola. * NORFOLK CLEARED PANAMA. Reported to have cleared Panama on October 25, the Federal Line steamer Norfolk is en route from Liverpool to Auckland, Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton, Port Chalmers and Timaru. She is due at Auckland about November 15. THE BRISBANE MARU. The Brisbane Maru was to leave Melbourne yesterday In continuation of her voyage from Japan to Wellington and Auckland. The vessel Is due at Wellington on November 5 and at Auckland on November 8. She is expected to leave Auckland for Japan, via Sydney and Brisbane, on November 9. MAUI POMARE'S PASSENGERS. The following passengers left Wellington on Tuesday for Apia and Niue by the Government motor ship Maui Pomare:—The Rev. The Kartigi is to leave Greymouth to-day for Melbourne and Adelaide. She will then load at Edithburg abqut November 11, completing at Adelaide and Melbourne for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and New Plymouth. KING MALCOLM FROM TAMPICO. The motor ship King Malcolm arrived at Auckland last Saturday night from Tampico, Mexico, with over SOOO tons of bitumen and asphalt. She will unload about 1800 tons at Auckland, the remainder being for Gisborne, Napier, Wellington, New Plymouth, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Bluff.
