TO THE EDITOB. Sib,—l regret to note an inaccuracy in a report appearing ni your issue of Dctober 30. Your statement that I adjourned the meeting at Clyde owing to the paucity of the attendance is incorrect, as I was not present when Mr Hislop met the Clyde people who had assembled to welcome him. As I was delayed, I was unable to be present at the same time as Mr Hislop, but subsequently addressed a meeting in the evening at which over 00 were present. Your statement that the meetine was adjourned by me through 1 act of attendance is, therefore, without foundation in fact.-I Dunedin, October 31.
