"FLYING OVER THE EMPIRE " An exhibition of photographs illustrating the routes followed by the Imperial Airways liners from Croydon to Australia, and from Cairo to Capetown will be opened to-day in the Somerset Lounge, Savoy Buildings. This picture shows some of the desolate country in the hills of Makran, near the Persian Gulf. Rocks have been carved in grotesque shapes by the sand-laden winds and the torrential rainfall on the strata.
BLUE STAR LINER AT DUNEDIN The Fresno Star, which is now berthed at Victoria'wharf. This is the first visit of the Fresno Star to Dunedin as a Blue Star vessel, but as the Woodarra she was here between 1921 and 1922.
