PHYSICAL CULTURE DISPLAY

Each year Mr J. V. Hanna, the physical director of the Dunedin School of Phvsical Culture, stages a massed display of all phases of physical culture, which is, in effect, a demonstration of the activities throughout the year of all the pupils of the : school. In previous years great interest lias been shown in the standard of efficiency reached by Mr lla'nna's pupils, and the modern Danish system of co-ordination of mind and body (a feature of the work shown) has proved itself capable of producing wonderful results in deportment, carriage, general organic health, and the brightness and alertness which is so important in our every-day business life. This year, following along the same proven line, a more advanced stage has been reached and the classes will be seen performing evolutions to 16 counts, where arms and legs move independently to different movements, showing a mental control that is surprising. Anyone who is at all interested in his or her physical welfare should sec this year's display, the details of which are advertised in this Issue.
