Voitre) defeated Takata in the best four furlongs in 49sec. Young Idea (J. Pratt) covered 10 furlongs in 2min lljsec, the last seven in lmin 32Jsec. Contact and Turf Boy recorded the best mile, lmin 44.}sec. Sporting Blood (N. Percival) galloped a mile in lmin 45Jsec. Epigram (K. Voitre) was going better than Whittingham (H. Olsen) over seven furlongs in lmin 30sec, the first four in 50sec. Palfresco (F. Dempsey) covered seven furlongs in lmin 31sec, the last three in 38sec. Sarcherie covered seven furlongs in great style in lmin 321 sec. Gallibrook recorded the best sis furlongs in lmin 16jsec. On the sand Gay Blonde (C. Tilsley) ran six furlongs in lmin 19Jsec, and Croden Lad three in 36$sec. At Flemington on the course proper Peter Pan (C. Scahill) and Sylvandale (H.
