The Waikoualti arrived at Dunedin last evening from Newcastle, Sydney, and Ilobart, via Bluff, and was berthed at the Birch street wharf to discharge general cargo and timber. She is to sail on Saturday for Timaru and Lyttelton to complete discharge. JFRESNO STAR FROM LIVERPOOL. The steamer Fresno Star arrived at Dunedin last evening from Liverpool, via Panama, Auckland, Wellington, and Lyttelton. She was berthed at the Victoria wharf to discharge Home cargo to the agency of the New Zealand Shipping Company. The Fresno Star, which was formerly known at the Woodarra, is to sail to-morrow for Vancouver. THE CANADIAN CRUISER. Messrs H. L. Taplcy and Co. advise that the Canadian Cruiser arrived at Bluff yesterday morning from Montreal, via Australian ports. She is due at Dunedin to-morrow, and is expected to sail the same day for Lytttclton and Wellington to complete loading for New York, Boston, and Halifax. KARETU FOR AUSTRALIA. The Karetu is to sail this morning for Bluff to complete discharge. She will then proceed to Sydney and Newcastle, and will load at the latter port on November 8 and Sydney on November 11 for Bluff, Dunedin. Timaru, and Lyttelton. MELBOURNE-SOUTH ISLAND SERVICE. The Melbourne-South Island-Wellington passenger service will be resumed this year by the Union Company's steamer Marama, which is to leave Melbourne on November 7 for Bluff, Dunedin, Lyttelton, and Wellington. She Is due at Dunedin on November 13, and Is to sail the same day for Lyttelton and Wellington, thence Bluff and Melbourne. THE PORT WADXATO. The Port Waikato arrived at Auckland last Sundav from southern ports. After unloading she will be withdrawn for overhaul and survey, and will resume running to southern ports on November 8. PORT HOBART REPORTED. The Port Hobart Is reported to have reached Philadelphia on October 23, en route to New York to load for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. She is scheduled to clear New York to-day for Auckland. ISLEWORTH'S NEXT CHARTER. The steamer Isleworth, which unloaded sugar from Java at Auckland, was expected to sail on Monday for Westport to replenish her bunkers before she proceeds to Queensland to load sugar for Great Britain. LURLINE FROM SAN FRANCISCO. The Matson Line steamer Lurline, which was duo at Auckland from San Francisco and Los Angeles on Saturday morning, is being speeded up, and is now scheduled to arrive at fa p.m. to-morrow. After unloading cargo for New Zealand she Is to resume her voyage to Sydney and Melbourne on Saturday evening. VICEROY OF INDIA'S CRUISE. The New Zealand Shipping Company, agents for the P. and 0. liner Viceroy of India, have received advice of a 29 days' cruise from Bombay and back to Bombay. She will tall at Cochin, Colombo, Penang, Singapore, Sandakan, Macassar, Bali, Samarang, Batavia, Belawan, Madras, and Colombo. REMUERA HOMEWARD BOUND. Having completed *her Homeward loading, the New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Remuera left Auckland on Saturday for London, via the Panama canal and Curacao. LONDON SHIPPING. For the eighth week In succession London's shipping has aggregated over 1,000,000 net register tons. During the week ended August 30, 1231 vessels, representing 1,004,148 net register tons, used the Port of London. Of these 495 vessels (691,443 net register tons) were to and from Empire and foreign ports and 736 vessels (312,705 net register tons) were engaged in coastwise traffic. The arrivals included six meat cargoes—viz., four from Australia and New Zealand and two from South America, comprising 133,000 carcasses of lamb and mutton, 92,000 quarters of beef, quantities of pork, rabbits and sundries.
