With a backloop slam in the third round Harban Singh ended the first appearance in a contest of Boscoe Whalbcrg. The crowd regretted the premature ending of what, despite the inexperience of the unknown loser, was developing into an interesting bout. M'CREADY BEATS WOODS (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, October 28. The latest wrestling importation, Johnny Woods (California) made his New Zealand debut against Earl M'Cready tonight, but lost in the sixth round through resisting for too long M'Cready's octopus hold. Though the newcomer forced the pace M'Cready appeared to have his measure fairly early. The bout was fa»t and entertaining. BLOMFIELD AND CESTOLDI DRAW (Per United Press Association) AUCKLAND, October 28. . A wrestling match between Blomfic'd and Cestoldi resulted in a draw, each man securing a fall. Cestoldi gained a fall in the third round with a body press following a succession of flying tackles. Blomfield evened in the fifth with a body press after a couple of slams.
