"HALLOWE'EN"

For genuine fun and entertainment the celebration of the old-time festival of Hallowe'en by the Dunedin Burns Club on Saturday evening next, in His Majesty's Theatre, should possess considerable attractions. The stage setting will be a Scottish kitchen, where a merry party is paying a surprise visit to " Granny" to hold a Hallowe'en party. There will be dancing and games for the young folk, and music, song, and story will pass the happy hours away. There will be country dances by the party, Highland dances by a reel party, and last, but not least, a beautiful haggis for supper. The vocal section will be particularly attractive, comprising such artists as Misses Dorothy Mackay and Margaret Murray. Messrs Arthur Lungley and W. H. Mackenzie. Elocution items will be presented by Miss Leonore Mackenzie, and the humour will be in the capable hands of Messrs G- Currie, J. Paterson, and G. Wiseman. Piano-accordion solos will be played by Mr Ted Heaney. Humour will be the keynote, and mirth and revelry will prevail. A particularly attractive programme has been prepared, and patrons are advised to reserve their seats.
