AUSTRALIAN TOURING TEAM WIN AGAINST CEYLON COLOMBO, October 26. (Received Oct. 27, at S p.m.) In the match against Ceylon Tarrant’s team made 334 (Nagel 40, Ryder 67), Ceylon in their second innings made 111. Australia won by an innings and 127 runs. The Australians had a sensational collapse after lunch, three wickets falling without any addition to the score. Ryder displayed ids old-time form and tile schoolboy, Fairwcather, who scored 22, made the best showing in Ceylon’s second innings. TEAM FOR SOUTH AFRICA MATCH AT PERTH PERTH, October 27. (Received Oct. 27, at 8 p.m.) A throe days match was commenced yesterday between Western Australia and the Australian team for South Africa. The feature of the first day’s play was Fleetwood-Smith’s bowling. The scores were: Western Australia 114 (Lovelock 28, Gardiner 20; FleetwoodSmith 4 for 24, O’Reilly 3 for 37, M'Cormick ,3 for 20). Australia, 104 for no wickets (Finglcton not out 47, Brown not out 55). INDIAN TEST TEAM DULEEPSINHJTS POSITION LONDON, October 27. (Received Oct. 28, at 0.5 a.m.) Duleepsinhji contradicts reports that he may captain the Indian test team. He says his doctors have forbidden serious cricket for five years.
