In the Supreme Court to-day 12 charges were heard against Marcus Jackson of obtaining from George Diack, a former clerk, since convicted for embezzlement. sums totalling £2lO by false representations that he was Tommy Green, a well-known jockey, and that he was commencing ■ business as a trainer, and that he reauired money from Diack for the purchase for him of two racehorses and their maintenance. The defence contended that the story was an incredible flight of imagination, and counsel suggested that the money sent by Diack to Jackson, amounting to £l4B, was by way of return for racing information.
