THRILLING GAME
ALL BLACKS v. LLANELLY PLAY HARD BUT CLEAN (United Press Association) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) LONDON, October 23. The New Zealanders deprecate the reports of rough play by the forwards on both sides in the Llanelly match. Appreciating that it was a bard, keen game, Dr Rocyn Jones, a Llanelly official, was asked by the Press Agency if it was true that there were scenes at Llanelly. Ho said there bad been nothing of the kind. All that was seen was a magnificent, thrilling game. He protested against the criticisms of the present tourists as not being equal to the previous teams, declaring that it was not deterioration of play by New Zealand, but an improvement in British Rugby since 1924 which accounted for more equality. THE TOURISTS’ REAL FORM LONDON, October 23. The New Zealanders are greatly heartened by their win against Llanelly. They believe at last they have found their real form. Mr Meredith is hopeful of a further improvement. Page will not be available for a fortnight. He and Dalton are in light training. M'Lean, Pepper, Best, and Wynyard will probably be available for Saturday’s game against Cardiff. Oliver, Page, Corner, and Manchester are spending three days at Lord Bledisloe’s home, and will rejoin the team on October 30. Lord Bledisloe is most interested in the tourists, and has arranged shooting, tennis, and drives for his guests. The team attended a greyhound meeting at Cardiff. All backed the last dog, Lucky Solomon. BROADCASTS OF TESTS.
