MEMEL TERRITORY
POSITION GREATLY IMPROVED (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, October 23. (Received Oct. 24, at 5.5 p.m.) The Foreign Secretary (Sir Samuel Hoare), in reply to a question in the House of Commons, said he was glad to say that the position in the Memel territory had greatly improved, but the Government would continue to keep a careful watch on the situation there.
