VERY CLEAN FIBRES
LONDON, October 22.
The Milan correspondent of The Times says Dr Ferretti produced a soft, elastic, white, very fine fibre, appearing to possess most properties of natural wool. Dr Ferretti claims that very clean fibres are obtainable in any length and of any thickness.
The correspondent of the British United Press Association at Rome on October 11 stated: "An agricultural weekly claims that a discovery enabling the defeat of at least one of the sanctions will shortly be patented. It consists of the preparation of by-products of milk after the making of butter and cheese. These by-products are transformable in yarn closely resembling wool. Two factories are already spinning the yarn."
