MANAKAU SEAT NATIONAL CANDIDATE CHOSEN. It waa announced by the National Political Federation on Friday afternoon that the party executive in the Manukau electorate had chosen Mr H. Jenner Wily an the National Government candidate for the Manukau seat. Mr. Wily, who is a resident of Epsom, is 35 years of age. He was educated at the Auckland Grammar School and Auckland University College. He practised as a barrister and solicitor at Pukekohe for 12 years, and for the past seven years has been in practice in Auckland. He is the author of "Magistrate's Court Practice in New Zealand.' DUNEDIN SOUTH Mr T. K. S. Sidey, National Government candidate for Dunedin South, will deliver his first public address to the electors of Dunedin South to-morrow night at the South Dunedin Town Hall, when he will deal with the political situation generally. One of the most enthusiastic and successful meetings yet held by Mr Sidey's committees and friends was that at which Mr A. Devlin presided over a large attendance at the committee rooms, Cargill road, last evening. Mr Sidey was present, and spoke at some length on general questions of policy. Highly encouraging reports were made by canvassers, and arrangements were made for further work in this direction and for a meeting of the St. Kilda Sectional Committee on Wednesday of next week. Mr Sidey will meet supporters in the school gymnasium, College street, Caversham, to-night. DUNEDIN CENTRAL A meeting of supporters and friends of Mr D. C. Cameron, National Government candidate for Dunedin Central, will be held in the Baptist Church Hall, Elgin road, Mornington, to-night at 8 o'clock. DUNEDIN NORTH Mrs R. S. Black, Democrat candidate for Dunedin North, will open her campaign in the George Street Hall to-night, when she will outline the policy of the party. The Rev. P. B. Fraser will occupy the chair.
