FORESTERS

Court Enterprise celebrated its seventysecond anniversary on Wednesday evening last. The hall was tastefully decorated with the court's banner, flags, streamers, greenery and the emblem of the Order, the stag"'s head, also the dates when the Order was started and the year Court Enterprise was opened "(18G3). In the centre of the hall before the dance started was a birthday cake set on a table, with the colours of the Order, green and red, and two bowls of beautiful tulips. One very noticeable feature of the gathering was the large number of old members in attendance. There were about 230 present. The grand march was led by the minute secretary, P.C.R. Bro. S. B. Brettcll, and P.M. Sister Brettcll, father and daughter. Sister Brettcll is a. P.C.K. and minute secretary of Court Woodlands Pride. During the evening the following contributed items:—Songs, Miss Dorothy M'Kay, Miss Louvain M'Donald, Mr T. MTnnes; recitation, Miss M'Kenzie; tap (lances, the Misses Stewart, all being jXreatly appreciated. The supper was served" in cabaret style, the tables being sot off with the colours of the Order and each table having a bowl of tulips ns centrepiece. After supper P.C.R. Bro. James Patton spoke a few words in reference to the court and its finances, and thanked Bro. Brettell for the work he had done to make the function a success. Bro. W. Hargreaves was the accompanist for the musical items.
